OVERVIEW

M4Workbench is an Eclipse framework for managing the entire z Systems application lifecycle, from code editing, through testing and performance monitoring, to fault analysis and recovery in the live production environment. It offers a modern alternative to 3270 interfaces for anyone seeking a more flexible and intuitive way of working with mainframe applications.

M4Workbench provides access to Macro 4's comprehensive Eclipse functionality from a single, convenient location. Eclipse interfaces for Macro 4's long established mainframe products are integrated within M4Workbench, and these are complemented by M4SlickEdit, for code editing, and z/Explorer, for JES and dataset administration.

M4Workbench makes users more productive by letting them customize their online workplace and switch seamlessly between all of the tasks involved in developing and maintaining applications. Intuitive 'point and click' interfaces guide the user, eliminate syntax errors and reduce the need for training.

M4Workbench can be used alongside Macro 4's 3270 and browser interfaces.
